It's election season meaning time for some top-notch SNL Skits.

Hulu is not letting me watch the latest episode of SNL right now, so I will take the time to write a much over due blog post instead.

I have never been a regular SNL viewer, though whenever, I watch it, I usually enjoy it, and luckily my roommate has many of the "Best Of" disks so I can catch up on some pop culture references, but I have to say my favorite time for SNL is during election season.

I love me some political satire. Seriously, it's half the reason, I try to stay up to date on politics and current events, so I can laugh even more at the SNL skits.

Last election season, I think I watched the SNL clip (shown below) with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, doing Palin and Clinton more than a handful of times. I crack up every time Clinton (Poehler) says "I don't agree with the Bush Doctrine," and Palin (Fey) starts cracking up and attempts to say "I don't know what that is."
Last week, the opening skit was the latest infamous Republican debate featuring Rick Perry's "Oops." I've already watched it three times. Bill Hader as Rick Perry, is so good. I don't even know how such an interesting looking person, as Bill Hader, can manage to look like so many people; he also does a spot-on Dr. Oz.

Sadly, I couldn't find a youtube clip of last weeks skit, but you can watch the whole episode on Hulu.

My favorite part of the video is Mitt Romney's (Jason Sudeikis) line "I want to be President but not like this.) I also really like Keenan Thompson as Herman Cain.

Here is another video done earlier in the season of a Republican Debate, not quite as good as last weeks, but it has its good parts too. My personal favorite is they ask Newt Gingrich if he actually wants to be president.

Oh, and lastly, I mean Tina Fey did such a phenomenal job as Palin, but if anything more comes of Michelle Bachmann, though doubtful, I think Kristen Wig will be able to give her a run for her money.
